Telegrafstryket
Minimize

The Telegrafstryket (The Telegraph Rapids) is a well-known name, and it describes the quite heavy piece of rapids downstream of Karhukostet and Kotaniemensuanto. You find it by clicking this link. Telegrafstryket is a great spot, and even though the current might seem to be to powerful, there are some rocks in the middle of the rapids which freshly run salmon might rest behind. When the sea trout starts to arrive in August, you will find quite a lot of jumping sea trout in the back water and edges of the current as well. Telegrafstryket is fished from both banks.
