Zone 1 starts where the E6 crosses Lakselva, and ends at Holmen bru (Holmen bridge). Zone 1 is easily accesible from both banks, and offers a wide variety of pools. You will find rapids and whitewater combined with more slowflowing pools.


Here's one of the most popular spots in zone 1, Leppäsarenpuas.

The lowermost region of zone 1 is in fact influenced by the tidal water, and down here you will find some great sea trout fishing in august and september.
