Köykiniemensuanto! Does it ring a bell? It thought not, but even though the name itself might not be familiar, I think quite a few of you have fished this pool, and you find it by clicking here. The pool itself is relatively long and deep, and it changes character the further down you get. At the top, you have a rather prominent current close to the east bank, and here you are likely to see quite a bit of grilse jumping. Getting down into the pool, the river slows down, and less fish is spotted. As you fish your way down, you will also see erosion taking it's toll on the east bank of the river.

Here we have a fisherman fishing the top parts of this pool.

At the bottom of the pool, the river will split into two different runs, the larger one continuing straight ahead. The loose, sandy grounds in this area leads the river to erode quite a bit, and many of the trees you find floating in the river further downstream come from this area.

On this picture you see trees hanging out as a result of erosion.
