Tiensuu means "by the end of the road", and the name originates from the times where a horse and carriage were the only means of transportation, and Lakselva was litterally the end of the road. Tiensuu is yet another one of the crown jewels in Lakselvas jewelry box. Upstream of Tiensuu you find the clay and sand which is washed into Lakselva at a regular basis, causing the river downstream to turn milky from time to time. This does not seem to have a large effect on the fishing, but if the river is very milky, you should use a more coloured fly as well.

This person has succeeded in hooking on in Tiensuu, and as you might see, you fish this spot very well from this the east side. If you're in doubt where Tiensuu is, click here for a map.
You could also fish Tiensuu from the west bank, but then you fish from a man made bank, and following fish might be tricky because of the big boulders having been used. To get to Tiensuu you're best of parking here (for fishing the east side), and following the river downstream, or here for fishing the west side.
