We continue our quest downstream in zone 3, and our next stop is Kairanen. My guess is that pretty much everybody who have fished zone 3, have also fished Kairanen. There's of course a reason why. Upstream of Kairanen the river is split into three to four different courses (depending on the water level), and these come together at Kairanen. Kairanen is fished at pretty much all water levels, except for massive floods. In addition, Kairanen is a long pool, so it offers many different fishing spots, and can therefore support quite a few fishermen.

This picture shows the top parts of Kairanen, and you will have an additional course coming into the main river a little further downstream of this.

An aerial view of Kairanen. We have a small gapahuk/hut here, which is open for everybody. The glass-like water surface in the bend is also very much fishable, but is best fished when there's a little drag in the water. Kairanen is also a good place for sea trout later in the season.
