At this page (Pools) we will try to give a presentation of the many pools in the river. Some will have pictures, some will only have some text describing it. We will also add a link to a map, showing you where these pools we're talking about actually are.


This picture is for instance from the neck of Øvrevann, the very beginning of zone 4.

There's not always easy to translate names, and it will probably only confuse you, so we will try to use the Kvääni-names where those exist, or the Norwegian where those are the only one we have.

Stryket = rapid(s)
Kulp = pool
Brekk(et) = Neck
Lombola = Pool
Suando = Slow flowing stretch
